Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Respiratory Clinical Coordinator to join our team. The role combines direct patient care with coordinating staff assignments, monitoring workload, and ensuring quality patient throughput during the shift.

The ideal candidate will be a Registered Respiratory Therapist with an active Illinois license, BLS, and relevant certifications; a Bachelor's degree or current enrollment in an accredited program is required, with NICU/PICU experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in respiratory care.
• Bachelor's degree or current enrollment in an accredited program.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Active Illinois Respiratory Care License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• ACCS and/or RPFT or related neonatal/pediatric credentials as applicable.
• NICU/PICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate staff assignments, coordinate workload, and monitor throughput.
• Provide direct patient care on the unit.
• Participate in staff education and contribute to performance evaluations.
• Support quality and safety metrics on the unit.
• Additional responsibilities assigned by manager.
