Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapist program.
  • Minimum 3 years of hospital respiratory care experience, 1 year in pediatric/neonatal care.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Current NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
  • Current State of Arizona Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
  • AARC membership preferred.
  • PALS and NRP certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily clinical operations and staffing to meet patient care needs.
  • Analyze critical situations and communicate with leadership for problem resolution.
  • Troubleshoot processes to improve efficiency and control costs.
  • Explain care modalities to patients and families in an understandable manner.
  • supervise and validate competencies, and ensure safe use of respiratory care interventions.
  • Lead and coach staff, delegating duties to meet changing patient care demands.
  • Ensure accurate patient care and billing documentation; drive continuous improvement.
  • Stay current with respiratory care issues, training, and hospital communications.
