Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC is hiring a Material Handling Equipment (MHE) technician to provide safe, cost-efficient maintenance and expert repairs to lift trucks, pallet jacks, order pickers, and related equipment. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and keep detailed SAP work orders to minimize downtime.

The role requires at least a high school diploma, 2-year maintenance training or 3 years in MHE maintenance, and proficiency in electrical systems, welding, and safe work

Qualifications

• Mechanical/Maintenance technical training (2-year school).
• 1 year experience with 2-year technical degree or 3 years in MHE maintenance/repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on MHE (Lift Trucks, Pallet Jacks, Order Pickers, Mini-Loader) to maximize safety and reliability.
• Diagnose malfunctions, perform repairs, and address VIR write-ups in a timely manner.
• Document all work in SAP Work Orders with proper Complaint, Cause and Correction.
• Learn and develop efficiency in Sysco maintenance computer programs.
