Job summary

Vivmark Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician II in Arlington, VA to diagnose, repair, and maintain apartment homes. The role requires handling HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks to ensure timely service and rent-ready units.

You will perform preventative maintenance, assist with interior/exterior painting, and uphold a strong safety culture. A valid driver's license and on-call rotation are required, with competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of maintenance experience including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance.
• A valid driver's license.
• On-call rotation availability.
• Strong communication with residents.
• Ability to read policies and SDS.
• Knowledge of PPE and safety basics.
• Familiarity with emergency systems and shutoffs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and repairs HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, emergency systems, flooring, and related components.
• Completes service requests in a timely manner.
• Ensures vacant apartments are rent-ready in a timely manner.
• Performs Preventative Maintenance.
• Assists in painting interior and exterior surfaces.
• Maintains safety culture and reports unsafe conditions and nonfunctioning equipment.
• Performs hot works including brazing, soldering, and welding according to standards.
