Job summary

You will perform preventative maintenance, assist in turning units, and collaborate with a safety-focused team to uphold AvalonBay standards. A valid driver’s license and monthly on-call availability are required.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in maintenance work, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance.
• A valid driver's license.
• Ability to accommodate an on-call schedule in rotation with the team each month.
• Ability to communicate with our associates and residents to provide customer service.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and repairs problems in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and major appliances.
• Completes assigned service requests in a timely manner.
• Ensures vacant homes are rent-ready in a timely manner.
• Performs preventative maintenance.
• Assists in painting interior and exterior surfaces.
• Maintains safety culture by following AvalonBay policies and procedures.
• Performs hot works including brazing, soldering, and welding.
