Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician A to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, focusing on chassis components, refuse bodies, and vital systems. The role covers engine work, HVAC, suspension, and electrical diagnostics.

Training is provided to work with state-of-the-art fleet. Ideal candidates have 5–7 years on heavy-duty trucks, CDL B or higher with CDL preferred, and ASE certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
• 5–7 years of experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks.
• Inspect and repair heavy truck systems: suspensions, engine, transmissions, brakes, electrical, hydraulics, drive train.
• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1–T8) are a plus but not required.
• CDL Class B or higher is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain chassis components and refuse bodies and related systems.
• Diagnose and repair diesel fuel systems, engines, and braking/air-hydraulic systems.
• Perform welding, fabrication, and use diagnostic tools across systems.
• Complete required Company training programs and perform other duties as assigned.
