Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking an ED Tech Advanced at West Hospital to provide direct patient care under RN guidance. Responsibilities include vital signs, lab draws, ECGs, wound care, and 1:1 safety support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Advanced EMT (AEMT) training preferred.
• BLS certification preferred; must obtain before direct patient care.
• 1 year of experience as an LPN, ED Tech, or Advanced EMT required.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic patient care and tasks including care and comfort, vital signs, personal care and hygiene.
• Assists with mobility, draws labs, performs ECGs, wound care under RN supervision.
• Completes patient rounds and 1:1 safety companion services as needed.
• Acts as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes and concerns.
• Maintains accurate documentation and participates in handoffs and patient safety initiatives.
