Job summary

Coastal Waste & Recycling is seeking a Diesel Technician B (Advanced Technician) in Florida to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks, refuse vehicles, trailers, and equipment while expanding technical expertise.

You will work alongside experienced Master Technicians, perform preventive maintenance, and help maximize uptime. A commitment to safety and teamwork is essential, with room for career growth within the company.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience maintaining or repairing diesel trucks or heavy equipment.
• Basic knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, brakes, and preventive maintenance.
• Valid driver's license and ability to provide a basic set of professional tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, steering, suspension, transmissions, and air brakes.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections to maximize the reliability of our trucks and equipment.
• Repair and maintain refuse trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.
• Utilize diagnostic software and electronic testing equipment to identify equipment failures.
• Assist Master Technicians and continue to build your technical knowledge.
• Respond to emergency repairs and maintain a clean, safe workspace following OSHA regulations.
