Job summary

Coastal Waste & Recycling, Inc. is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician B (Advanced Technician) to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks and refuse equipment.

You will perform preventive maintenance, work with seasoned technicians, and help maximize uptime while upholding safety standards. The role emphasizes ongoing learning, growth into senior technician levels, and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience maintaining or repairing diesel trucks and heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, brakes and preventive maintenance.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record; must provide basic tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, steering, suspension, transmissions and air brakes.
• Perform preventive maintenance to maximize reliability and uptime.
• Repair and maintain refuse trucks, vocational vehicles, trailers and heavy equipment.
• Utilize diagnostic software and testing equipment to identify failures.
• Complete repair orders and maintenance documentation accurately.
• Collaborate with Diesel Technician A to grow knowledge and skills.
