Job summary

Coastal Waste & Recycling is seeking a Diesel Technician B (Advanced Technician) in Miami, FL to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks, refuse vehicles, trailers, and equipment. You will expand your technical expertise working with Master Technicians and contribute to safe, reliable operations every day.

This role requires 1+ years of diesel experience, basic tools, and a valid CDL being a plus; ASE and brake certifications are valued.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience maintaining or repairing diesel trucks, heavy equipment, commercial vehicles, or related mechanical systems.
• Basic knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, and preventive maintenance.
• ASE certifications, Brake Certification, Class A CDL, refuse industry experience, and bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Creole) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, steering, suspension, transmissions, and air brake systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections to maximize reliability of trucks and equipment.
• Repair and maintain refuse trucks, vocational vehicles, trailers, and heavy equipment.
• Utilize diagnostic software and electronic testing equipment to identify failures.
• Respond to emergency repairs and operational needs as assigned.
