Job summary

Coastal Waste & Recycling Inc. in Fort Myers, FL is seeking a Diesel Technician B (Advanced Technician) to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks, refuse vehicles, trailers, and related equipment.

You will work with Master Technicians and expand your technical expertise on a diverse fleet. Qualifications include 1+ year of diesel repair experience, a valid license, and willingness to grow into advanced certifications.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience maintaining or repairing diesel trucks and heavy equipment.
• Basic knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, brakes, and suspension.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• ASE certifications and CDL are a plus.
• Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Creole is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, steering, suspension, transmissions, and air brake systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections to maximize the reliability of our trucks and equipment.
• Repair and maintain refuse trucks, vocational vehicles, trailers, and heavy equipment.
• Utilize diagnostic software and electronic testing equipment to identify equipment failures.
• Perform welding, fabrication, and component repairs when qualified.
• Accurately complete repair orders, inspections, maintenance documentation, and parts records.
• Work alongside Diesel Technician A (Master Technician) while continuing to build your technical knowledge and skills.
• Respond to emergency repairs and operational needs as assigned.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
