Job summary

Coastal Waste & Recycling is seeking a Diesel Technician B (Advanced Technician) in Pompano Beach, FL to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks, refuse vehicles, and equipment. You’ll perform preventive maintenance and work with Master Technicians to maximize reliability and uptime.

Qualified candidates have 1+ years of diesel experience, basic knowledge of diesel systems, a valid driver's license, and a basic toolset. ASE certifications or Class A CDL are a plus.

Qualifications

• . 1+ years of experience maintaining or repairing diesel trucks or heavy equipment.
• . Basic knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, brakes and preventive maintenance.
• . Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• . Must provide basic set of professional tools.
• . ASE/Brake/CDL are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, steering, suspension, transmissions, and air brake systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections to maximize reliability of trucks and equipment.
• Repair and maintain refuse trucks, vocational vehicles, trailers, and heavy equipment.
• Utilize diagnostic software and electronic testing equipment to identify equipment failures.
• Perform welding, fabrication, and component repairs when qualified.
• Complete repair orders, inspections, maintenance documentation, and parts records.
