Coastal Waste & Recycling is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician B (Advanced Technician) to keep our heavy-duty trucks, refuse vehicles, trailers, and equipment operating safely and reliably. You’ll work alongside seasoned Master Technicians, expanding your technical expertise and growing into higher-level roles.

You’ll perform preventive maintenance, mid-to-advanced repairs, and diagnose complex issues using diagnostic software, equipment, and welding skills while contributing to a strong

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience maintaining or repairing diesel trucks, heavy equipment, or related mechanical systems.
• Basic knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, and preventive maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Must provide and maintain a basic set of professional tools.
• ASE certifications, Brake Certification, Class A CDL, refuse industry experience, and bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Creole) are a plus.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, steering, suspension, transmissions, and air brake systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections to maximize reliability of trucks and equipment.
• Repair and maintain refuse trucks, vocational vehicles, trailers, and heavy equipment.
• Utilize diagnostic software and electronic testing equipment to identify equipment failures.
• Perform welding, fabrication, and component repairs when qualified.
• Accurately complete repair orders, inspections, maintenance documentation, and parts records.
• Respond to emergency repairs and operational needs as assigned.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
