Job summary

Mayo Career Site US is seeking an ultrasound technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams across outpatient and inpatient settings. The role includes supporting complex invasive procedures and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to tailor imaging protocols to patient needs.

Responsibilities include ensuring accuracy of imaging orders, maintaining QA, mentoring students and staff, and upholding sterile techniques and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High quality, advanced diagnostic ultrasound imaging for outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Ability to obtain appropriate images and measurements with independent interpretation.
• Synthesize clinical data to communicate preliminary diagnosis to physician.
• Adhere to isolation precautions, sterile technique, and procedural setup.
• Mentor students and staff, participate in education and research efforts.

Responsibilities

• Perform autonomously high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams (abdomen, vascular, small parts, OB/GYN).
• Assist in complex invasive procedures and intraoperative cases with a team approach.
• Identify imaging orders and tailor exam protocols to patient needs.
• Ensure workflow efficiency, report equipment issues, and participate in QA.
• Maintain patient safety and advocate for patients during imaging.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in training.
