Job summary

Steinberg-Diagnostic-Medical-Imaging seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams in a fast-paced outpatient setting, under radiologist and leadership guidance. You will collaborate with physicians, clinicians, and staff to ensure timely imaging services and accurate documentation, while maintaining HIPAA compliance and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or equivalent.
• ARDMS registry eligible; meet ACR certification in AB, OB/GYN, PS or RVT.
• Strong clinical ultrasound knowledge and imaging proficiency.
• Excellent communication and patient-care skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations per protocols and orders.
• Obtain and document relevant patient history and clinical information.
• Verify patient identity and exam orders prior to procedures.
• Explain procedures and position patients for comfort and cooperation.
• Acquire and document diagnostic-quality images for radiologist interpretation.
• Recognize and document findings within scope of practice.
• Complete all required documentation and entries in a timely, compliant manner.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Probe cleaning, high-level disinfection, and reprocessing per policy.
• Maintain documentation in PACS, EMR, and related systems.
