Job summary

WestStar Bank in El Paso, TX is seeking a Construction & Commercial Loan Specialist II to support construction lenders, gather documentation, and deliver exceptional client service through the loan process.

Ideal candidates bring extensive banking experience in construction lending, solid knowledge of loan documentation, and proficiency with nCino and LaserPro, plus ability to manage multiple files and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum ten years banking experience including construction lending and credit operations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with bank personnel, customers, attorneys, and title companies.
• Strong knowledge of construction and commercial loan documentation for complex transactions.
• Regulatory knowledge including Regulation B, HMDA, OFAC, CIP, Beneficial Ownership, Flood Regulation.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Adobe; team-oriented and detail focused.
• Notary Public license for Texas or New Mexico and ability to obtain as needed.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers to demonstrate care and build relationships through proactive outreach.
• Assist construction bankers in processing construction, lot, and development loan requests with required docs.
• Manage multiple loan files in a fast-paced, customer-service oriented environment.
• Oversee loan process through accurate calculations aligned with facility standards.
• Support maintenance of existing construction and lot loans via daily tasks and Construct usage.
• Process Letters of Credit for subdivisions and renewals as required.
• Coordinate with attorneys and signatories for loan documentation and signatures.
• Balance Construct platform against the bank core system for assigned builders.
• Provide Notary support and professional assistance as needed.
