Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Communication Systems Engineer Modeling & Simulation II to design, model, and test state-of-the-art satellite and airborne communications. You will work cross-functionally with systems, software, RF, electrical, mechanical, and test teams through concept, integration, and production, applying systems engineering best practices.

Qualifications

• Experience with systems modeling, link analysis and performance evaluation.
• Familiar with simulation tools and engineering analysis methods.
• Understanding of digital communications and RF fundamentals.
• Knowledge of requirements management, interfaces and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design and development of communications system architectures, interfaces, subsystems, and performance models.
• Perform system modeling, link analysis, performance evaluation, trade studies, simulation, and system integration activities.
• Review system requirements, interface specifications, architecture documentation, analytical results, and technical documentation supporting system implementation.
• Identify workflow automation opportunities to streamline modeling and simulation processes.
• Perform verification, validation, testing, simulation, integration, and troubleshooting activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout product development.
