Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Communication Systems Engineer Modeling & Simulation II to design, develop, integrate, and test advanced communications for satellites and space systems. You will apply systems engineering to improve performance and resolve challenges across the product lifecycle.

You will work with multiple engineering teams to perform modeling, analysis, verification, and optimization while documenting results and enabling scalable, repeatable processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace, electrical, systems, computer engineering or related field with 2–5 years of related experience in communications systems engineering or related discipline.
• Working knowledge of communications systems, systems engineering principles, requirements development, and interface management.
• Experience with systems modeling, link analysis, performance evaluation, simulation tools, and engineering analysis methods.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop communications system architectures, interfaces, subsystems and performance models.
• Perform system modeling, link analysis, performance evaluation, trade studies, simulation and system integration.
• Review requirements, interface specs, architecture docs, results and documentation supporting system implementation.
• Collaborate across systems, software, RF, electrical, mechanical, integration & test, quality and program teams.
