Job summary

Lockheed Martin’s Skunk Works division in Palmdale seeks a Subsystem Design Engineer to deliver high‑performance aerospace subsystem solutions from concept through production. You will develop, test, and validate designs, troubleshoot issues, and create 3‑D CATIA/3DX models, drawings, and system specifications, coordinating with suppliers and teams.

This role requires a Bachelor’s in a relevant engineering discipline, CAD tool experience, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance; a 4x10

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical/Aerospace/Aeronautical).
• Experience with 3DX, CATIA, SolidWorks, Creo, Unigraphics, NX or equivalent CAD tool.
• Experience creating/modifying drawings and aircraft subsystem designs.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance.
• Hands-on engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and validate subsystem designs from concept to production.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions to determine root cause and corrective action.
• Create and maintain 3-D CAD models, assemblies, and system specifications.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal/external teams and customers.
