Job summary

Lockheed Martin's Skunk Works program seeks a mechanical field engineer for challenging, travel-heavy assignments supporting a Santa Barbara-area program. You will perform maintenance, fault analysis, and rapid asset deployment while complying with mobility and health requirements, including passport and overseas physicals.

Applicants must have hands-on experience with aircraft structures and systems, and hold an active Top Secret clearance. FAA A&P license is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in a field environment.
• Hands-on mechanical maintenance, repair and inspection of aircraft structures, systems and sub-systems.
• Active Top Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Be an integral member of the operations and maintenance team.
• Support the on-site Customer and work to deploy, prepare, maintain and re-deploy program assets.
• Accomplish fault analysis and resolution of mechanical system and subsystem discrepancies.
• Attend debriefings to aid in rapid identification of system issues and detect emerging issues.
• Document operational/maintenance problems and communicate within program channels to resolve issues and identify failure trends.
• Operate and assist in service and maintenance of support equipment.
