Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a Support Delivery Lead for Ads in San Francisco with a hybrid work model (3 days in office/week) and relocation assistance. You will lead a team handling end-to-end ad support delivery including setup, delivery, billing, measurement, and policy navigation, while driving quality, responsiveness, and consistency across the ads ecosystem.

You will coach engineers, set performance standards, and translate support signals into product improvements.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in Support Delivery, Customer Operations, Ads Operations, or similar environments.
• 6+ years of direct people management.
• Experience supporting advertising products and workflows.
• Strong cross-functional leadership skills influencing Product and Engineering roadmaps.
• Ability to define, implement, and manage operational KPIs; experience with reporting and cadences.
• Project/program management skills for complex initiatives across time zones.
• Automation-first approach with AI, tooling, and systems thinking to scale support.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of Ads support engineers to operate at a high bar in a complex domain.
• Set expectations and standards, conduct performance reviews, and develop growth plans.
• Design and improve support coverage for ad buyers, diagnosing delivery and monetization issues.
• Bridge between Support Delivery, Engineering, Product, and GTM; align priorities and tooling improvements.
• Partner with engineering to resolve complex issues and inform product development.
• Manage escalated engagements professionally, representing OpenAI in challenging situations.
• Develop innovative strategies to drive efficiency, scalability, and growth of user operations.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering on Ads launches to ensure support readiness and feedback loops.
