Pasadena Humane is seeking an Adoptions Manager to lead a team of Adoptions Counselors in a fast-paced, high-volume shelter environment. You will oversee adoptions across species, develop policies, and collaborate with volunteers and departments to ensure humane, efficient processes.

The role emphasizes staff development, cross-department coordination, and public engagement to advance the organization's mission and community impact.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5 years in animal welfare with at least 2 years in a supervisory/training role.
• Experience working with the public and diverse groups.
• Strong communication, leadership and public speaking skills.
• Solid knowledge of animal health, behavior, and handling.

Responsabilités

• Lead Adoptions Counselors and volunteers to ensure fast, transparent adoptions.
• Develop and disseminate policies for progressive, evidence-based adoptions.
• Manage scheduling, training, and staff development for adoption team.
• Collaborate with Placement leadership to standardize adoption practices.
• Recruit and train volunteers for a robust adoption program.
• Plan and execute adoption events with cross‑department collaboration.
• Conduct adoptions and client‑animal meetings; handle challenging cases.
