Job summary

Pasadena Humane is seeking an ARC Coordinator to support animal welfare and community outreach. You will assist with animal-related appointments, intakes, reunifications, and respond to public inquiries with high-quality customer service.

The role supports the ARC Manager, tracks departmental data, coordinates with other shelters, and helps ensure welfare of animals in the community. This full-time position requires strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of appointment.
  • Two years of experience in animal welfare, animal rescue, social work, veterinary or human services.
  • One year of experience in a leadership role.
  • Strong interpersonal, public speaking, and communication skills.
  • Experience working in an open admissions shelter strongly preferred.
  • Experience handling domestic animals and/or wildlife in a medical, zoological, rehabilitation, agricultural or research setting strongly preferred.
  • Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with animal-related appointments, intakes, and reunifications; address public inquiries with high-quality customer service.
  • Support ARC Manager with addressing customer care concerns, troubleshooting, and monitoring services; refer to internal departments as needed.
  • Track department data and coordinate with other departments to ensure quality customer care and animal welfare.
