Job summary

Charter Senior Living in Pikesville, MD is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) with strong clinical leadership to support day-to-day nursing operations and ensure compassionate, high-quality resident care.

The role partners with the Director of Nursing/Health & Wellness Director to supervise care, medication management, and regulatory compliance in an assisted living setting. LPN/LVN or RN licensure is required, with 1–2 years of leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Active LPN/LVN or RN license in good standing.
• Minimum 1–2 years of nursing leadership or supervisory experience.
• Assisted living, memory care, or long‑term care experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of resident care, medication management, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily clinical operations and resident care services.
• Support assessments, care plans, and wellness monitoring.
• Assist with medication management and clinical documentation processes.
• Mentor and support caregiving and medication staff.
• Monitor resident condition changes and communicate with physicians and families.
• Support staffing, scheduling, onboarding, and training efforts.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations and clinical standards.
• Assist with survey readiness and quality assurance initiatives.
