Base pay range

$85,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr

Job Summary

The ADON Restorative Nurse is an experienced Registered Nurse responsible for ensuring current care plans and MDS for residents, overseeing nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, as well as facility policies and directives from the Administrator.

Essential Functions
  • Review and recommend revisions to departmental policies, procedures, and job descriptions annually.
  • Oversee the Restorative Program, ensuring assessments are completed.
  • Maintain current copies of the RAI manual and utilize it for accurate coding within the MDS system.
  • Develop, coordinate, and chair resident care plan conferences, ensuring resident and family participation per RAI guidelines.
  • Coordinate staff training and ongoing education related to the RAI process.
  • Monitor medical records for consistency and compliance, addressing discrepancies with appropriate departments.
  • Maintain logs and documentation related to CMI, Medicare, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise nursing staff in implementing the care plan and delivering quality care.
  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement programs.
  • Attend relevant meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Physical Requirements
  • Current, unencumbered RN license in the state.
  • CPR certification (or obtain within 90 days).
  • Knowledge of OBRA, IDPH, IDPA, DQA standards, and documentation methods.
  • Proficiency in English, tactful communication skills, and leadership abilities.
  • Physical ability to move throughout the workday, cope with stress, and work with diverse populations.
  • Awareness of exposure risks to infectious diseases and competence with computer skills.
