As an Assistant Director of Nursing, you will be at the heart of the Clinical Department, ensuring our residents receive high-quality care by overseeing all aspects of the department, fostering a positive and inclusive facility culture, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Your expertise will be vital in maintaining our standard of care.

Responsibilities

1. Direct, oversee, and evaluate all nursing personnel (RNs, LPNs, CNAs, etc.)
2. Guide staffing procedures
3. Set objectives and long-term goals for the nursing department
4. Organize and coordinate admission, nursing, and patient care procedures
5. Develop and enforce policies for legal compliance and quality standards
6. Control budgets and monitor expenditures
7. Resolve issues and deficiencies as needed
8. Manage record-keeping procedures
9. Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations
10. Report to upper management

Skills and Qualifications

1. RN with current Illinois nursing license in good standing
2. In-depth knowledge of resident care
3. Understanding of budgeting and financial reporting
4. Knowledge of healthcare regulations, survey processes, and best practices
5. Willingness to stay updated on nursing standards
6. Excellent assessment, clinical, and supervisory skills
7. Familiarity with Med Pass procedures, nursing programs, EMR documentation, MDS, etc.
8. Leadership ability to develop and train staff
9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
10. Organizational and stress management skills
11. Problem-solving aptitude
12. Bachelor's degree in nursing; a Master's degree in nursing or healthcare administration is a plus
13. Valid nursing and CPR certifications
14. Solid work history
