Job summary

UofL Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Program Coordinator for weekend shifts at Peace - Louisville. The role involves planning and coordinating therapeutic activities for diverse patient populations and providing leadership to unit staff within a structured milieu.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in counseling psychology or related field (Master’s preferred) and clinical experience. Strong communication, crisis intervention, and teamwork are essential to support patient care and safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in counseling psychology, psychology or closely related health degree (required)
• Minimum of 5 years clinical experience if Bachelor’s degree is not held
• Master’s degree in counseling psychology, psychology or related behavioral health degree (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, and coordinate structured therapeutic program activities for assigned patients.
• Provide leadership and guidance to unit staff for programming and interventions.
• Maintain a safe therapeutic milieu and de-escalate when needed.
• Respond to crises and coordinate with the care team on interventions.
• Assist nursing with patient care tasks and ADLs as needed.
• Coordinate communication with patients, families, and physicians about program needs.
