The Admissions and Registration Coordinator handles administrative (non-clinical) aspects of the patient encounter to support an ideal patient experience, while collecting and maintaining accurate demographic and insurance information for each hospital account record/encounter. The incumbent provides friendly, courteous assistance to patients, supports the clinical care team, and maintains a positive, professional demeanor. The position includes, but is not limited to, working in a high-intensity, 24/7 environment and achieving proficiency in Epic Patient Access, Grand Central, and Hospital Billing modules. The Admissions and Registration Coordinator must have excellent communication and customer service skills as the position interacts with a diverse team and patient population. The role is responsible for executing activities including registrations, scheduling, time‑of‑service collections, obtaining authorizations, and providing same‑day admission notification to payers.
Weekend and holiday work is required.
Minimum $18.87/hour - Maximum $31.15/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
