Job summary

Florida Rehabilitation Hospital at Tampa is seeking an Admissions Manager to coordinate the admission/intake process for patients in a brand-new facility. You will serve as the first point of contact for admission representatives and the receptionist, guiding daily workflow in collaboration with the Director of Business Development.

Responsibilities include leading census and metrics, cultivating payer relationships, conducting audits, and supporting admissions, billing, and pre-authorization

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree required.
• Two years experience in rehabilitation or closely related field.
• Familiarity with insurance products, payors, and pre-authorization.
• Knowledge of healthcare compliance requirements.
• Clinical knowledge in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily census and hospital metrics in team meetings.

Job description

Florida Rehabilitation Hospital at Tampa located at Woodstork and Temple Terrace is opening February 2025. Join our team to work in a beautiful new hospital with 60 private patient rooms and 2 rehab therapy gyms with cutting-edge technology.

The Admissions Manager is responsible for coordinating effective, efficient admission/intake process for all patients. As an Admission Manager, you will act as first point of contact for the admission representatives and receptionist by providing guidance and overall support for daily workflow. In collaboration with the Director of Business Development (DBD), you will manage day-to-day admission operations while adhering to best practices and maintaining company core values.

Daily Responsibilities

• Assist in leading daily census and hospital metrics in team meetings
• Build and maintain relationships with local insurance payers, maintain current/up to day knowledge of payer contract and preferences
• Assist Director of Business Development with admission audits and pulls data correctly for team education
• Assist with day-to-day tasks related to admissions, billing, and authorization submission, and provides training for new hires in collaboration with the Director of Business Development.

Pay: Rate of pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree
• Two years experience in rehabilitation or closely related field.
