Job summary

AdCare Hospital American Addiction Centers in Worcester, MA seeks an Intake Admissions Coordinator to assist patients and referral sources with timely access to treatment. You will conduct pre-admission screenings, collect insurance data, and determine appropriate levels of care.

You will document intake details in Salesforce, coordinate with the Charge Nurse and Clinical Managers, and manage scheduling flexibilities while maintaining professionalism in challenging situations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Effective interpersonal skills.
• Computer literacy required, Google office products a plus.
• Knowledge of chemical dependency and 12 step programs a must.
• Past experience in substance abuse treatment a plus.

Responsibilities

• Warmly welcomes clients and their family members to facility and explains the Intake process.
• Answers questions about treatment and seeks supervision when unable to answer questions.
• Establishes a positive rapport with clients and families.
• Explains all levels of care offered to potential clients.
• Screens and assesses for exclusionary criteria (e.g., active psychosis, suicidality).
• Documents intake information concisely in Salesforce and Aura.
• Verifies benefits with insurance representatives and records outcomes.
• Coordinates referrals and follow-up with clinical managers where needed.
• Maintains professionalism in stressful situations and adapts to schedule changes.
