Hospital for Behavioral Medicine in Worcester, MA, is seeking an Intake Coordinator for a part-time evening shift. The role involves receiving referrals, collecting minimal information, and coordinating with care teams to schedule assessments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in a hospital intake department or business office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive referral calls, obtain minimal demographic information, and refer the call to the appropriate source or schedule an assessment.
• Process all requests for information and external referrals.
• Completes pre-certifications as needed.
• Assist in arranging for admission of patients, including alerting the business office staff to begin the verification of benefits, initiating calls to physicians and other related tasks as directed by the Case Manager.
• Determine what Releases of Information are needed, and process them accordingly, per policy.
• Assist in obtaining needed records and information.
• Assist in maintaining all statistics; provide support to the Outcome Study, and other data, as assigned.
• Maintains good communication with the Utilization Review, Business Office, and other staff as indicated.
