Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s preferred in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field.
• One+ years healthcare admissions experience preferred, ideally in mental health/substance use treatment.
• Experience in client assessment, referral, treatment planning and communication with external review organizations or comparable entities.
• Knowledge of community resources and ability to network with referral sources.
• Outstanding interpersonal, interviewing and assessment skills; strong telephone etiquette and paging procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conducts pre-admission assessments and interviews clients and families to ensure intake criteria are met.
• Reviews prospective admissions against admission criteria, policies, and procedures.
• Interacts with referral sources to support client care and business development; coordinates with treatment professionals.
• Documents all activities in the CRM; maintains admissions documentation and follow-up communications.
• Verifies benefits with private insurance providers and arranges transportation and scheduling for admissions.
