Excelcare at Norwood is seeking a dynamic Admissions Director to lead and grow our census in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role balances relationship-building, compliance, and occupancy goals while representing the facility professionally in outreach and marketing efforts.

You will oversee the admissions process from inquiry to intake, conduct pre-admission assessments, collaborate with nursing, therapy and social work teams, maintain accurate records, monitor census trends, and

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in admissions or marketing within a skilled nursing or healthcare setting
• Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance guidelines
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with EMR systems and admissions tracking tools

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all aspects of the admissions process from inquiry to intake.
• Serve as the main point of contact for families, hospitals, and referral partners.
• Conduct pre-admission assessments and ensure clinical appropriateness.
• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and social work teams to support seamless transitions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all admissions activity.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local hospitals, case managers, and community organizations.
• Monitor census trends and contribute to occupancy planning and strategy.
• Represent the facility professionally in outreach and marketing efforts
