Job summary

The Alden Network is seeking an Admissions Director to plan, organize, and operate the Admission Department in accordance with regulations and facility policy. You will ensure referrals are screened, eligibility verified, and all forms are completed for admission, with emphasis on contract and financial compliance.

You will partner with corporate AR to ensure timely payments and lead communication with hospitals, social workers, and community agencies to drive census growth while maintaining

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field or 2 years of direct experience.
• Knowledge of long-term care preferred.
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and think analytically.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Outlook; EMR systems experience.
• Insurance portal experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Resident Referral Process and ensure referrals are screened and eligible prior to admission.
• Communicate with hospital/social workers and community agencies about referrals and admissions.
• Verify Medicaid/Medicare/insurance eligibility before accepting referrals.
• Complete required offender registry checks and background checks per policy.
• Inform residents about deposit requirements and obtain admission documents within the specified window.
• Maintain census accuracy in the EMR and coordinate with departments on admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Collaborate with the Corporate AR team to ensure timely collection of payments and manage financial services meetings.
• Support marketing and business development activities to promote the facility and increase census.
