Job summary

MEMORIAL is seeking an Admissions coordinator to support facility operations by increasing the census. You will manage the admissions process for residents, families, and staff, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience.

This role involves planning and directing the Admissions Department, collaborating with other departments, reviewing eligibility and insurance, and maintaining accurate bed availability and intake records.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in health care or related field preferred.
• Two years of admissions experience preferred.
• LVN or RN license preferred.
• Strong reading, writing and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage admissions process to ensure a positive experience for residents and families.
• Plan, direct, and monitor daily Admissions Department operations to meet census goals.
• Admit patients to the health care facility and screen against admission criteria.
• Complete admission and financial responsibility forms.
• Coordinate with other facility departments to ensure timely communication and referrals.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and comply with safety procedures.
