Job summary

PACS seeks an Admissions leader to manage the admissions process and supervise the Admissions Department. You will work to ensure efficient admissions, coordinate bed availability, and collaborate with nursing, social work, and discharge planners to maximize referrals.

The role requires familiarity with admission criteria, confidentiality of health information, and the ability to communicate with residents, families and staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED;Bachelor's degree in health care or related field preferred.
• Two years' admissions experience preferred; LVN/RN license preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to manage admissions documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage admissions process to provide a positive experience for residents and families.
• Direct and monitor daily admissions department operations to meet census goals.
• Admit patients and screen them against admission criteria.
• Coordinate with nursing, case management and other departments for bed availability.
• Ensure accurate completion of admission and financial responsibility forms.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and comply with HIPAA.
