Qualifications

• Education: Graduate from an accredited, state approved LPN program or nursing school or bachelor’s degree in another field.
• Licensure: Current licensure as indicated by profession.
• Experience: Two(2) years in admissions, marketing or sales in a nursing center or healthcare setting.
• Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication; able to work independently and in a team; knowledge of clinical practices, laws, and guidelines for nursing in long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Maintains an effective system to gather pre-admission data to determine resident level of care and facility fit.
• Completes pre-admission and admission inquiry forms and coordinates with facility departments for admissions, transfers, or discharges.
• Coordinates room assignments in consultation with administration and the nursing department.
• Acts as liaison for admitting, transferring, and discharging processes; explains facility policies to residents or representatives.
• Participates in marketing, maintains census levels, and supports performance improvement activities.
