Job summary

Lakeside Behavioral Health System in Memphis seeks a Call Center Specialist to join the Admissions Department. You will act as a liaison between LBHS, referral sources, patients, and families, coordinating referrals from mobile crisis agencies and hospitals while delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities include accurate documentation of calls and admissions paperwork, and prioritizing referrals to support call center operations.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or Social Services field.
• Experience: Prior intake, assessment, admission and crisis intervention experience with a psychiatric mental health population.
• Knowledge: Crisis intervention, risk assessment, psychiatric diagnoses symptomology, basic chemical dependency, age-specific growth and development and crisis and behavior management.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate referrals between referring mobile crisis agencies, hospitals and other referral sources in support of call center operations.
• Prioritize referrals made to LBHS and provide exceptional customer service to all partnering agencies.
• Document calls and admissions-related paperwork thoroughly and accurately.
