Lakeside Behavioral Health System in Memphis is seeking a Needs Assessment and Referral Counselor to perform risk assessments, crisis interventions, and coordinate referrals and admissions for patients across inpatient and partial hospital settings.

The role requires coordinating with referral sources, families and unit staff, and ensuring appropriate level of care while supporting a compassionate, team-oriented environment in a premier behavioral health facility.

Qualifications

• Licensure/Certification in a relevant field as listed under Education/Licensure.
• Experience in intake, assessment and crisis intervention preferred.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention, risk assessment and psychiatric symptomology.

Responsibilities

• Perform telephonic and in-person risk assessment and crisis intervention.
• Coordinate referral and intake process and determine level of care.
• Facilitate admission and maintain communication with referral sources, families and staff.
