Jobtailor in the United States is seeking a Nurse Manager to coordinate and supervise nursing care on assigned units, ensure policy and regulatory compliance, and drive high-quality, cost-effective patient care. You will manage clinical practice, budget and staffing, mentor staff, support EMR, and promote patient and family experience while aligning with the department's vision and goals.

This role requires Bachelor's enrollment or completion in nursing/related field, 2+ years nursing leadership

Qualifications

  • Enrollment in Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
  • Graduate from a specialty training program is required.
  • Bachelors in Nursing is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of nursing experience is required.
  • Basic Life Support certification is required.
  • Active RN license in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise nursing care and activities on assigned units.
  • Ensure compliance with directives, policies, laws, and regulations.
  • Develop and initiate improvements in high-quality, cost-effective patient care.
  • Support Nursing Department and organizational vision, mission, and goals.
  • Manage nursing clinical practice, budgetary personnel activities, regulatory activities, and EMR support.
  • Optimize patient and family experience and customer interactions.
  • Communicate and incorporate nursing strategies, vision, goals, and initiatives.
  • Participate in formulating nursing policies and cross-department policies.
  • Communicate and interpret policies, procedures, and regulations to patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Promote positive guest relations and evidence-based practice.
  • Foster relationships with Medical Director and Physician Liaison.
  • Develop employee relations, mentor staff, delegate actions, and encourage participation.
  • Facilitate educational program attendance and collaborate on orientation, continuing education, and competencies.
  • Supervise assigned personnel and assist with new employee orientation and integration.
  • Conduct performance appraisals, monitor absenteeism, order supplies, schedule 24-hour staffing, and perform triage.
  • Address performance problems and initiate disciplinary processes as appropriate.
  • Design and implement strategic operational plans involving capital, clinical, financial, HR, and IS quality plans.
  • Manage assignments to meet worked-hour statistics and demonstrate fiscal accountability.
  • Develop and promote customer-sensitive service standards.
  • Measure performance against standards and drive team commitment to exceed them.
  • Resolve patient and customer issues promptly.
  • Conduct leadership rounds and review unit/system risk exposure.
  • Ensure incidents are reported to Performance Improvement and addressed promptly.
