Job summary

Job description

• Coordinate functions and activities related to a single departmental function
• Manage and coordinate operations for a clinic unit
• Coordinate RN scheduling
• Act as liaison with pre-hospital providers, medical and nursing staff, hospital administration, and other customers
• Develop and implement plans and processes to meet regulatory requirements
• Train and mentor staff
• Provide patient care according to designated standards and practices
• Monitor and evaluate the appropriateness and effectiveness of patient care
• Make assignments, delegate, and supervise care provided by RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
• Manage day-to-day staffing decisions based on patient needs and caregiver skill levels
• Assist with orientation of new team members
• Schedule daily departmental activities, including breaks and staffing adjustments
• Coordinate completion of orientation competency checklists and annual employee competencies
• Interact with customers to assure professional staff conduct
• Track customer service performance and take corrective action when needed
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Nursing Degree from an accredited nursing school
• Two years of relevant clinical nursing experience
• License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona
• CPR certification
• ACLS required upon orientation completion for applicable departments, including Cardiac Cath Lab
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to effectively implement change and assist with departmental budget management
• Ability to independently make decisions in high-stress situations
• BSN preferred
• Management experience with two years of supervisory experience preferred
• Certification in specialty area of practice preferred
