The major purpose of this position is to serve as the primary contact person for all the clients assigned to them. The PRR will interview the client and/or his/her representative to collect the financial information by accessing multiple systems to determine various insurances and sources of income in order to make a determination of the client's ability to pay the cost of care and treatment.

The PRR is accountable for obtaining appropriate authorizations, acquiring and monitoring insurance pre-certifications; identifying and explaining programs the client might be eligible for such as Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, Supplemental Security Income, Veterans' benefits and more. The PPR is accountable for all reviews to maintain eligibility for government benefits and third-party insurance. This position must verify patient personal data, third party insurance and enter the financial data on each client assigned to them into the Healthcare Enterprise Accounts Receivable and Tracking System (HEARTS) and is responsible for communicating with the staff at the Central Billing Office any changes or updates in the financial situation from admission until close-out of the account. Â The PRR serves as a liason between the client and Social Security Administration, Social Services, the Attorney General's Office and the Central Billing Office as well as assisting the clients with any personal financial matters while hospitalized.

These are full-time positions and eligible for the full State benefits package including health insurance, retirement, paid sick/vacation, holidays, etc. The normal work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.- 5 p.m.; however, flexibility is required based on hospital needs.
