Description

As a recognized leader in our field, The Alliance for the Advancement of Infant Mental Health is a global leader committed to promoting the healthy emotional and social development of infants, young children, and their families. We achieve this by building and supporting a highly skilled workforce equipped to meet the unique needs of young children through relationship-centered practices. In partnership with individuals and organizations worldwide, we provide training, resources, and credentialing to empower professionals in this critical field.

The Alliance for the Advancement of Infant Mental Health is a global organization that includes infant mental health associations who offer the Endorsement for Culturally Sensitive, Relationship-Focused Practice Promoting Infant & Early Childhood Mental Health (IMH-E and ECMH-E) credentials. The mission of the Alliance for the Advancement of Infant Mental Health (Alliance) is to build and sustain a diverse workforce, informed by infant and early childhood mental health principles that strengthen early relationships. We accomplish our mission through advancing social and economic justice and becoming an antiracist organization, supporting professional development and research, and engaging Associations for Infant Mental Health as partners. We are committed to examining our current Endorsement system and other professional development strategies to ensure they are anti-racist, diversity-informed, and equitable. We believe doing so will lead to greater racial and cultural diversity in the workforce so that the professionals who serve babies reflect the diversity of their families.

The Alliance operates under the administrative umbrella of The Guidance Center, a non-profit mental health organization that provides a broad range of services that have helped children, adults and families unlock potential and build better lives since 1958.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Staff III/Administrative Assistant to join the Alliance for Infant Mental Health team of talented professionals.

This role supports core initiatives including Endorsement, training and technical assistance, training offerings, reflective practice, and membership. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks across time zones, while contributing to the Alliance's mission with creativity, professionalism, and care.

Key responsibilities include Administrative and program coordination, Operations and communication, financial and contract oversight, and general support and engagement.

This is a remote, part time position with flexible hours across a minimum of three (3) weekdays (Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST). Occasional travel may be required for events. Compensation for this position ranges from $25-28/hour
