Job summary

Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. is seeking an Administrative Manager to support the Prince George's County Program Office. The role combines receptionist duties with weekly paperwork and payroll processing, with an emphasis on maintaining confidential participant and personnel records.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, and an associate degree is preferred. Strong computer skills (MS Office) and excellent communication are essential; bilingual ability and evening availability

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in business administration preferred but not required.
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Previous experience in an administrative or similar role.
  • Proficient computer knowledge; MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of using various database-type systems is helpful.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Bi-Lingual/Spanish speaking is a plus.
  • Availability to work some evenings.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current automobile insurance coverage required.

Status: Full-Time Hourly FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

Summary of the Position: Administrative Manager provides office support for all aspects of the Prince George's County Program Office.

  • The Administrative Manager functions as the office receptionist, prepares weekly paperwork, and payroll processing. Also, maintains confidential participant and personnel records.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment and maintain a professional manner with staff, families, and other service providers.
  • Organized with attention to detail, good time management skills, and computer literacy (Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite—Word Processing and Spreadsheet Software).
  • Ability to work well with others, be friendly, and have an outgoing personality.
