The Secretary of State's Office in Louisiana seeks an Administrative Coordinator to support the Registrar of Voters. You will handle administrative tasks, maintain voter rolls, greet visitors, process mail, and help manage data entry and office operations.
This probational appointment requires one year of administrative experience or educational substitution. Overtime during elections is required; Saturdays and extended hours during early voting.
In your role as an Administrative Coordinator with the Registrar of Voters Office, you will help to administer Louisiana's voter registration laws by maintaining accurate voters rolls and support election operations. An ideal candidate should possess the following competencies:
One year of experience in administrative services.
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for six months of the required experience.

Operates a busy, multi-line phone system, greets guests as they enter the office, processes incoming/outgoing mail, and maintains a clean and organized office environment.
Appointment Type: Probational.
Career Progression: This position may be filled as an Administrative Coordinator 2 or 3.
Overtime Requirements:For every election cycle, the selected applicant must be available to work on the two Saturdays during early voting, extended daily hours during early voting and also the day of the election which is normally a Saturday. Overtime is required to support other election operations such as the canvass, recall petitions, etc.
