Administrative Assistant who serves as the assistant to 2-3 Vice Chairs in the Department of Pathology; provides administrative and clerical support to Vice Chairs, detects and resolves day to day issues in the Vice Chairs' offices; oversees and coordinates daily administrative activities in the Vice Chairs' offices; conveys directives and instructions; oversees and coordinates appointment calendars; coordinates, schedules and organizes meetings, workshops and lectures; ensures prompt and accurate written, verbal and electronic communications; plans and arranges meeting logistics; records and transcribes meeting minutes; independently composes correspondence and finalizes draft copies of correspondence; coordinates and makes travel arrangements; coordinates, prepares and submits reimbursement of expenses; tracks and monitors payment requests; assists with preparation of materials for lectures; collects and compiles administrative information and data for inclusion in grant proposals; assists with preparation of manuscripts, articles and research reports for publication and presentation; researches and compiles information and data as requested; prepares summary documents for Vice Chairs to aid in decision making and planning of strategic goals; assists with departmental data entry, filing, correspondence and other related administrative duties.
High School diploma or GED. 2 years of relevant experience required. 4-6 years of relevant experience preferred.
