Job description

Tutor Me Education's office currently seeks an Administrative Assistant (Billing/AP/Payroll Clerk) to join a team of dynamic individuals vital to the daily operations of the firm.

Responsibilities
  1. Supporting all billing and payroll operations
  2. Utilization of accounting and payables software programs to perform duties and responsibilities
  3. Ensuring that all tasks and duties are completed within the firm's set guidelines and policies
  4. Accurately and timely completing assignments
  5. Researching and responding to inquiries
  6. Displaying a positive, high-energy attitude within our team environment
  7. Reviewing and editing pre-bills in response to attorney and support staff requests
  8. Executing complex bills (e.g., multiple discounts, split-party billing, electronic bills)
  9. Creating, printing, and verifying the accuracy of invoices for clients
  10. Reviewing and verifying supporting documentation as required
  11. Assisting with e-billing processes and liaising with e-billing coordinators
  12. Reviewing and resolving rejected invoices
  13. Processing write-offs per Firm policy
  14. Creating and distributing reports (daily, weekly, monthly)
  15. Assisting with year-end closing and reporting
  16. Supporting various special projects as needed
Requirements
  1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  2. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  3. Analytical, problem-solving, and productivity skills
  4. Excellent time management and flexibility to meet deadlines
  5. Ability to work well in a high-paced environment with shifting priorities
  6. Maintain confidentiality, exercise discretion, and exercise good judgment
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  8. Knowledge of bookkeeping procedures (posting, balancing, debits/credits, journal entries)
  9. Understanding of basic accounting principles and mathematical functions
  10. College graduate with internship or work experience
