Job summary

The Louisiana Department of Health is seeking an organized administrative professional to support executive-level staff within Medicaid operations in Baton Rouge. You will coordinate meetings, manage communications, and assist with travel logistics to ensure smooth daily operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assists Medicaid Deputy Directors, Section Chiefs, and other higher-level staff with administrative matters; monitors phone calls and visitors.
  • Coordinates telephone conference calls, conference meetings and/or workshops chaired by the Medicaid Deputy Directors and/or higher staff.
  • Ensures assigned primary, secondary, and unit manager time administrator duties are performed in accordance with applicable procedures and policies; serves as a personnel liaison for their section(s).
  • Prepares travel documents and authorizations or travel expense accounts, makes travel arrangements with hotel, travel agency, car rental agencies and interprets travel regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

Four years of experience in administrative services.

Experience Substitution

Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.
