Job summary

Mercy Medical Center in Maryland is seeking an Administrative Assistant for the Center for Orthopedic Practice. You will support front desk duties, patient flow, and general office tasks in a busy outpatient setting.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, handling calls, verifying insurance, scheduling appointments, collecting co-pays, and assisting with paperwork such as FMLA. This full-time role offers comprehensive benefits and a collaborative team environment.

  • Assist patients with FMLA and disability paperwork
  • Maintain a clean, organized front office space
  • Provide exceptional service and support to patients and visitors
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education and Work Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • A minimum of one year experience, preferrably in a medical office setting.

Salary Information

Compensation decisions are made in alignment with internal equity, role scope, and market data to ensure fair and consistent pay practices. Most new hires are typically placed within the lower to mid-portion of the range; offers above that level are reserved for candidates with advanced or highly specialized qualifications.
