Mercy Medical Center, Baltimore, MD, is hiring a Medical Assistant to join our hospital team. Responsibilities include rooming patients, vitals, and EMR data entry.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of Medical Assistant or EMT-Paramedic experience; CPR is preferred. We offer a $1,500 sign-on for select positions and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year experience as Medical Assistant or EMT-Paramedic preferred.
• CPR-certification preferred; training may be provided.
• Age-specific care for adolescents, adults, geriatrics, and pediatrics.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vitals.
• Enter patient information into EMR.
• Set up and assist with office procedures.
• Chaperone providers during patient exams.
• Take pre- and post-op photos as required.
• Maintain surgical instruments and CSS transport.
• Process specimens and send to Pathology.
• Maintain and stock exam rooms.
• Order clinical supplies.
• Complete FMLA and Disability forms.
• Clean and reset exam rooms.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtaining vitals
• Entering patient information into electronic medical record (EMR)
• Setting up and assisting with office procedures
• Chaperone providers during patient examination
• Taking pre‑op and post‑op photos of patients
• Maintaining surgical instruments and transporting instruments to Central Sterile (CSS)
• Processing surgical specimens and transporting them to Pathology
• Maintaining and stocking exam rooms
• Ordering clinical supplies
• Completing FMLA and Disability forms
• Cleaning and resetting exam rooms
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education and Work Experience

• High School Diploma or GED
• A minimum of one year experience is preferred as a Medical Assistant or EMT-Paramedic

Salary Information

Min USD $17.83/Hr.

Max USD $26.75/Hr.

Compensation decisions are made in alignment with internal equity, role scope, and market data to ensure fair and consistent pay practices. Most new hires are typically placed within the lower to mid‑portion of the range; offers above that level are reserved for candidates with advanced or highly specialized qualifications.
